WHO WE ARE

Colorado’s landscape offers endless opportunities for Coloradans and tourists to enjoy. Here at Colorado Outdoor Alliance, we think that’s something worth fighting for.

The Alliance advocates for policy that prioritizes preserving Colorado’s uniquely beautiful environment for current and future Coloradans to enjoy while seeking practical solutions that help Coloradans of today and tomorrow thrive here. We are proud to call Colorado home and believe there are policy solutions that can protect Colorado’s environment and promote an affordable and sustainable way of life for all Coloradans.

As Coloradans, we have the privilege of calling this beautiful place home. Each of us has core memories hiking, camping, biking, skiing, or recreating in our Rocky Mountain backyard. As Coloradans, we must fight for policies that preserve Colorado’s outdoors and way of life to ensure Coloradans and visitors alike can forge new connections with our state for generations to come.

Our History and Traditions

Spending time in nature is deeply rooted in Colorado’s culture and history, and outdoor recreation has been a staple for our communities and visitors since its inception. Ensuring our state’s policies promote and preserve our landscape and the activities it offers is critical to preserving Colorado’s cultural identity and rich history.

Our Outdoor Activities

Whether it be hiking a fourteener, camping with your family, or taking a bike ride with friends, the people of Colorado have endless opportunities to engage in an active outdoor lifestyle and diverse opportunities to recreate right here in our backyard.

At Colorado Outdoor Alliance, we acknowledge that Coloradans like to connect with the outdoors in their own unique ways, and our state has something to offer for anyone who wishes to spend more time outside! We fight to safeguard Colorado’s active outdoor lifestyle. Colorado lawmakers should protect the rights of Coloradans—now and in generations to come—to responsibly enjoy our great outdoors.

Our Great Outdoors

With eight individual ecosystems, Colorado is home to one of the most biodiverse landscapes the world has to offer. From the slopes of the Rocky Mountains to the vast terrain of Great San Dunes National Park, Colorado provides people with endless opportunities to build lasting memories with their friends and family. Our state’s policies should protect the unique ecosystems across Colorado and ensure that our communities can continue to thrive and interact with Colorado’s landscape through recreational activities.
